Rinku AdhikaryArch Motif Tribal Pendant in Antique Silver Finish
Part talisman, part tiny architecture—this pendant captures the poetry of hand-drawn lines within a gentle arch. It is inspired by the lattice windows and doorways that pattern folk settlements and stepwells across India, reinterpreted through a tribal metalwork lens. The result is a compact statement piece that slips effortlessly onto a cotton cord, leather thong, chain, or fabric neckpiece you already own.
Design intelligence
The arch, bordered by twisted-rope edging, encloses a microcosm of movement: waves, curls, and crossbars rendered as raised wires. Negative space is integral—it lets the skin or garment beneath become part of the design, much like jalis that modulate light and air. A small, strong bail sits centred at the crown; its aperture is generous enough for thicker cords.
How it is made
Our artisans cast the base in a brass alloy, then carve and chase the linework to sharpen the relief. After an initial polish, the pendant receives an antiquing wash that sinks into crevices; the raised surfaces are then hand-buffed to a mellow silver tone. This layered finish resists fingerprints and ages gracefully. The edges are rounded to be skin-friendly, and the back is lightly textured for grip against cloth.
Ways to wear
Minimalist: slip on a black cotton cord at collarbone length.
Layered: add two fine chains at different lengths for a contemporary stack.
Textural: thread onto a red fabric-bead rope or wool-bead strand for craft-on-craft drama.
Genderless styling: looks equally striking on crew-neck tees or handloom kurtas.
Symbolism & mood
The arch is a threshold—a sign of welcome and transition. The internal wave and spiral marks speak to continuity and flow. Wear it as a quiet reminder to move with grace from one chapter to the next.
Care
Keep away from moisture and chemicals.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasives.
Store in its pouch to protect the antiqued surfaces.
